Sarah's Birthday Present

Leslie and I were discussing my daughter's upcoming Birthday and she suggested a balcony planter. We bought a plant and now I've built this Planter box with attached trellis to hold the plant. The frame is constructed of knotty white pine and the sides and trellis are of cedar. The bottom consists of cedar slats to let the water run through.

Happy Birthday my love !

New Table Tops at Harrison Park Inn Patio

I've just installed new table tops on the patio of the Harrison Park Inn in Owen Sound.
The old surface was a piece of paving stone with a wooden frame. I drilled a hole in the base steel to receive an umbrella
and built the new tops from heavy weight Composite Decking material

8ft.+ Garden Obelisk in PT fir and Cedar

This Obelisk is over 8ft tall but nestles right into
the greenery in this corner of the garden

Replacement Staircase
This is a pressure treated fir staircase
I was asked to build for an existing deck
I used 12" pine boards to hide a slab
concrete wall - Within a few years the
wood should fade and match the tone
of the main deck . . or it could be treated
to retain the 'new wood' look.

(In this case the customer is waiting to decide how to 'finish off' the left side of the stairs.)

Planter Box

I have just completed this window well Planter.
It is mounted on a deck where a window well
had been cut into the deck surface. Planter boxes are
suspended below deck level and the plants are
protected by 14 removable plexiglass window panes.
The lid is hinged for access.

Here was my original scetch
